Privacy Policy

DivCal is built to keep your information on your phone, not on our servers. This policy explains what the app does with data, in plain terms.

1. Information we collect

We collect nothing that identifies you. DivCal requires no account, no name, no email address, and no sign-in.

2. Data stored on your device

Your watchlist, share counts, and settings are stored on your iPhone using on-device storage. This data never leaves your phone except for the specific network requests described in section 5. Deleting the app deletes it. We cannot see it, back it up, or restore it for you.

3. Notifications

If you turn on payday reminders, DivCal schedules local notifications on your iPhone. They are created and delivered entirely on your device. No reminder data is sent to us or anyone else.

4. Purchases

DivCal Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details. Apple shares only your subscription status with our paywall provider (Superwall) so the app can unlock Pro features.

5. Network requests to third parties

To function, the app makes requests that include the ticker symbols you look at (for example, AAPL):

Dividend data: per-share amounts and dates are fetched from market data providers (Financial Modeling Prep and BusinessQuant) and the SEC's public EDGAR database. These providers receive the ticker symbols needed to return the data.
Company logos: logo images are fetched from Financial Modeling Prep's logo service, which sees the ticker requested.

These providers receive only the ticker symbols required to answer each request. We do not send them your name, your share counts, or any account information, because we do not have any.

6. Analytics and advertising

We use no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising SDKs. We collect no usage statistics.

7. Children

DivCal is not directed at children under 13. Since we collect no personal data from anyone, we knowingly collect none from children either.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
